I’m very fine and ate a lot too.
This time, I would like to talk about origin of my name.
My name is Chibi Tompukirikirik. This name is very international, actually. You can call me “cosmopolitan”.
Chibi is the Japanese word for small. Even I’m not small any more.
Tompukirikirik is the Dusun word for insect name. (A type of locust)
Why?! I’m not insects at all. I’m CAT. I can’t understand Kiko’s sense.
I love vibrancy of the word sound. That’s that. (Kiko)… I’m sorry I asked.
Then you wonder why she uses Dusun language, right? I know. Kiko had lived in Sabah before and has good friend from Sabah. Sabah is eastern Malaysia. There is diversity of ethnic groups and Dusun is one of them. Each ethnic group has their own culture, own language. That’s why my last name is Dusun language.
I think eastern Malaysia’s attractive point is diversity. There is diversity of people, animals, and nature. If you have never been to Borneo island, I would suggest that you should try to visit there.
I've always wanted to go there, but I have NEVER been to there.

今回は、僕の名前の由来についてお話します。
みんなも知ってのとおり、ちび トンポキリキリッって名前なんだけど、これかなり国際的なの。コスモポリタンと呼んで。
ちびは、日本語で小さいという意味。日本語が読めるあなたにとっては当たり前だよね。もはや、小さくもない僕だけどさ、名前だから仕方ない。
苗字に当たるトンポキリキリッだけど、これはドゥスン語で昆虫（バッタの一種らしい）という意味なんだ。てゆーか、何で昆虫？僕はれっきとした猫なんすけど。きこの神経を疑うね。
音の響きが好きなの。それ以外に意味はなし。（きこ）・・・。聞かなきゃ良かったよ。
さてと、それはともかくなんでドゥスン語なのよ、と不思議に思っていませんか？ね、そう思ってたでしょ？
きこにはサバ州に住んでいたことがあって、そこの友達から教えてもらった言葉なの。サバ州は、東マレーシア。ここは民族の坩堝で、ドゥスンというのはそのうちのひとつ。１００余りある民族はそれぞれ独自の文化、言語も持っている。だから苗字にドゥスン語を使ってみたわけだ。
東マレーシアの魅力はなんといってもその多様性。人々、動植物、自然、どれも全て貴重な種の多様性に富んでいます。もしまだ行ったことがなかったら。是非一度は訪れてみてはいかが？
行ってみたいとは思っているんだけど、僕はまだ一度も行ったことがなかったりして。
